General Information about Play Attention:

Play Attention is recommended for ages five and up. Play Attention can be used for younger students but the gains are likely to take more time. Your Neuro-Centrum Tutor will bring all of the materials including a laptop to your home for Play Attention training; you just provide the workspace and the student. Play attention has been found to have long lasting effects and provide academic improvement. For more information please visit the research page. The program is customized for each student. Play Attention training is recommended to last ten months with two 30 minute sessions each week. Play attention has rewards built in so that the student can work toward goals set by the parents and earn rewards that both parent and child have chosen. There is not negativity in play attention, no negative penalties.

How the brain waves are read:

Play Attention uses a Bodywave arm band to read brain waves and tells the computer program how the student is performing. The student simply straps on the arm band and can begin to play. There is no input and the computer is only using an EEG device to read the amplitude of waves being produced.
